TMJ Symptoms
Are you experiencing a combination of any of these symptoms?

If so it is possible that you may be experiencing one of the most common jaw disorders know as TMJ disorder, which stands for Temporomandibular Joint disorder. The TMJ is what connects your skull and lower jaw, and allows for you to open and close your mouth, chew, as well as speak.
The discomfort and pain that may occur in this area can be related to clenching and/or grinding one’s teeth, misaligned positioning of the teeth, stress, trauma to the area, or arthritis.
TMJ Treatment
Some conservative ways that may help to improve this condition are:
- Applying moist heat to the area
- Inflammation-reducing drugs
- Muscle relaxants
- Muscle massage
- Soft Diet
At our office we provide special treatment in order to relieve the pain and soreness that result from this disorder including:
- Mouth guards and splints that are specially designed to help counteract the reasons for TMJ disorder ( NTI and OMS )
- Tooth adjustments as well as strategic bite adjustments
